About us

We are starting a new kind of youth basketball program building on Dr. Charles Waisbren’s 20 years of experience coaching in under-served communities in Milwaukee. 

The program moves ‘beyond basketball’ with a strong emphasis on education.

Our first team is for 4th grade boys: the Silver Spring All Stars.

Before any basketball is played at practice — 4:30pm every Wednesday and Friday at the Silver Spring Neighborhood Center — each of the teammates will take part in a literacy program.

The program is free, coming in the wake of the GoFundMe we started in honor of our beloved Sam going viral.
